Verizon iPad to be available in stores on October 28 (AT&T also to start sales on the same day)

If you had any doubts about Verizon and Apple working together and if they would be able to get on-board to form a healthy partnership, the latest news should everyone at ease. Apple said Thursday that Verizon Wireless will begin selling the iPad at its stores on October 28; the exact same day that AT&T will begin sales as well. This should surely see a very interesting battle between both the giants in US as for the first time both Verizon and AT&T start selling an Apple product together. This could also be a preview to the battle of future iPhones between both of them!

Verizon will not be selling 3G versions of the iPad, which would work over a cellular network. Instead it will sell bundles that include the iPad’s WiFi models and its own MiFi mobile hotspot device. This will ensure that you can connect to internet at any spot that has 3G network. The bundles will come at a price of $630 for a 16-gigabyte model, $730 for a 32-gigabyte model and $830 for a 64 gigabytes.

There will also be $20 access plans for customers who use up to 1GB of data. There will also be the option of taking one of the three stand-alone models of iPad. AT&T will also be obviously selling the iPad and Wal-Mart has them on sale come this Friday.

Love the iPad? Which carrier will you chose? Will it be AT&T or Verizon? Let us know and you could win an iPad yourself!!
