Three UK HTC Desire Users Gets Updated to Android 2.2 Froyo Tomorrow

October 13, 2010, By Atul Roach

Seems like the Android Froyo goodness is spreading the world over tomorrow as we just finished talking about the HTC myTouch receiving it (this week) and now comes this news from the Three UK contingent. The Twitter update below confirms that HTC Desire users for Three UK will get upgraded to Android 2.2 Froyo beginning tomorrow morning 9am UK time.

The Tweet is indeed a clear indication from HTC as well, as it states that version 2.25.771.1 of Android will hit the Desire as an OTA tomorrow at 16:00 Taiwan time. Just if you do not remember what HTC mentioned about the Froyo when it arrived back in July, here is a reminder:

As well as including the complete set of Android 2.2 features, the update will contain a few special additions of our own through the latest iteration of HTC Sense. The update will provide 720p video capture, HTC’s App Share widget, as well as our enhanced HTC Caller ID, and improved multi-language keyboard. Also, through the update, HTC Sync will allow HTC Desire users to sync their music with iTunes.

That pretty much sums up the changes that will be in place after Froyo invades the Three UK HTC Desire tomorrow morning.
