Sony once again Delays Release of Gran Turismo 5: Sets new release date as ‘Holiday Season’!

October 13, 2010, By Shawn Wagnon

That is so not cool from Sony- to pull out from a release almost at the very last hour and this is not even the first time when it comes to Gran Turismo 5. But the news is that Sony has indeed once again postponed the launch of GT 5 and that should leave plenty of gamers on their PS 3s pretty disappointed; to say the very least.

Unveiled at E3 earlier this year, GT 5 was set for a November 2 release and the delay is indeed global. The statement by SCEA producer Taku Imasaki on official Playstation Blog did say that they were sorry for the delay and it was only because the team at Polyphony Digital was striving hard to make the racing experience as realistic and exhilarating as possible.

So what is the new release date, you ask? Well, put pretty broadly, it will be the ‘Holiday Season’. No confirmation yet on if that means a 2010 release either as some still speculate that GT 5 could e out very early in 2011.

But latest reports from the Europe arm of Sony Computer Entertainment do say that the release would be ‘around Christmas’. Hopefully someone from Sony will give us another release date and won’t miss on it a third time!
