Sony Ericsson LiveView Bluetooth Wireless Display for Android Phones Clears FCC

October 11, 2010, By Sanjeev Ramachandran

Last month, Sony Ericsson had announced the LiveView Bluetooth wireless display. Now, the LiveView has been approved by the FCC and the device has been priced.

The LiveView, which comes equipped with a 1.3-inch 128×128 color OLED display, is expected to be arriving in November 2010 with a price tag of €69 ($96). The news of a possible November release date and the European pricing was unveiled on the French site Journal Du Geek.

The display, which is meant for Android phones, is an iPod nano type display that can be worn as a watch or clipped onto clothes. Earlier, the company had also showed off some of its basic features such as the device’s capability to show incoming caller ID, read text messages, emails, and open some apps. So the device will allow you to keep your phone in your pocket when you are doing some of the above mentioned tasks.

There is nothing notable in the FCC filing, but the side shots of the device suggest that the device is a little chubby.
