It has to be the Windows Phone 7 release tomorrow which is hastening the introduction of WP7 OS laden smartphones and after the LG Optimus 7, the next big name unearthed is the Samsung Omnia 7. The Omnia series has been pretty popular for Samsung and the electronics giant is now looking to instill new life into this series, courtesy of Microsoft’s WP7.

The Omnia 7 was expected a month later, but Samsung has other plans in place for its 4-inch Super AMOLED WVGA display laden device. Samsung Omnia 7 measures 122.4 x 64.2 x 10.99 mm while on the inside, it gets an impressive 1GHz clocking Qualcomm Snapdragon QSD8250 processor.

You will also come to like its 5MP auto-focus camera on the rear, 8GB of on-board storage WiFi b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1 and A-GPS, along with USB 2.0 and triband UMTS/HSPA (900/1900/2100). Another stand-out feature for the Omnia 7 is its ability to record 720p HD videos.

A rarity for such high end handsets from a top-of the line manufacturer, the Omnia 7 pleasingly features an FM radio as well. At the moment, the pricing and the release date of the Omnia 7 is a mystery, but the way it surprisingly landed, we are hoping that these two details can also surprise us any day now.
