Apple iPad at Wal-Mart Starting Next Week; Says Leak

Wal-Mart might be getting ready to launch the Apple iPad very soon. Earlier, there were hints that the retailer would be selling the device later this year. Now, a leaked document is proof that the launch might actually happen next week.

Back in May, it was announced by Wal-Mart that it had plans to start selling the iPad in its US retail stores “later this year”. Now, a leaked internal email that emerged last week gives us some of the details surrounding the retailer’s iPad launch.

The leaked document suggests that the retailer will be offering all six models of the iPad, which include both the WiFi and 3G-enabled versions in 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB capacities. The retailer will also be selling a variety of extras such as the iPad camera connect, USB charger, and AppleCare for the iPad.

It is expected that the device will be landing at Wal-Mart stores around the US starting next week. This decision for launch might have come because of the rapidly approaching holiday shopping season and also because of the competition from Wal-Mart’s rival Target.

As you might know, Target launched the device in over 1700 stores around the United States just this past weekend. You should also know that Amazon also offers the iPad through third-party resellers.

Meanwhile, some Wal-Mart customers have spotted the device on the shelves of the retailer. Hit the source link to take a peek at those pictures.
