Toshiba Regza 20GLI and 12GLI Glasses-free 3D TVs at CEATEC 2010 (Video)
Earlier, we had reported when Toshiba announced their two glasses-free 3D TVs, the REGZA 20GL1 and the REGZA 12GL1. Now, the devices, which are the first of their kind, have attracted quite a lot of people to the Toshiba booth at the CEATEC 2010.
Just to refresh your memory, the 20GLI, which comes with a 20-inch LED-backlit 720p display with a resolution of 1,280 x 720, will be powered by Toshiba’s Cell processor. The display will also be capable of playing 2D images and the TV comes with a range of ports including CEC-capable HDMI, USB and Ethernet.
The 12-inch model will provide a resolution of 466 x 350, but lacks the Cell engine. In addition to the ports of the bigger model, it also has a SD card slot and a built-in 1Seg TV tuner.
It was announced that the 20GLI will retail for the equivalent of $2,900 and the 12GLI for $1,450.
