New reports are suggesting that Vodafone has plans to launch the iPhone 4 in Germany on October 28. When Vodafone begin selling the smartphone, Deutsche Telekom (the parent company of T-Mobile) will lose its iPhone 4 exclusivity in Germany.

While all carriers are selling older iPhone models, the latest iPhone 4 is exclusive to T-Mobile DE. But, Vodafone will get in on the action in the very near future.

The iPhone 4 will be coming locked to the Vodafone network. The report also suggests that Vodafone would begin showing ads for the device on October 18.

It is expected that O2 will also begin distributing iPhone 4 (unlocked) in Germany sometime soon. But there was no information available about when O2 will launch the smartphone.

Deutsche Telekom, which is Germany’s largest mobile provider with 37 million customers (Vodafone is ranked second with 34.9 million and O2 has 16.3 million), has already started preparations for the loss of iPhone 4 exclusivity by offering discounts on its plans. The T-Mobile iPhone 4 promotion was launched last week with a 10 percent discount on monthly fees for the first year of the 2-year contract.
