Lenovo ThinkPad laptops have reached the 60-million mark on sales and the company is using the occasion to update the devices with the NVIDIA’s Optimus Technology. Lenovo ThinkPad T410, T410s and T510 laptops, which we saw initially announced back in January, will be getting the NVIDIA Optimus graphics.

NVIDIA Optimus technology makes graphics automatic, instantaneous and seamless. The devices are getting NVIDIA’s NVS 3100M GPU and the machines will be using NVIDIA’s Optimus graphics switching which will help in switching to or from their dedicated NVS 3100M video and Intel’s integrated chipset.

Other specs of the devices remain the same. They will be coming with various Core i5 and Core i7 processors to choose from, WiFi b/g/n (on certain models) and optional 3G and WiMAX.

The ThinkPad T410, T410s and T510 laptops with NVIDIA Optimus technology are available immediately and the pricing begins at approximately $1,299 for the T410 and T510, and $1,849 for the T410s.

It was also announced that that the company is rewarding customers with a Customer Appreciation Event featuring up to 15 percent discounted pricing on select ThinkPad models purchased in the US. The promotion begins today and runs through to Oct. 8.
