Acer Aspire One D255 dual-core Atom Netbook Priced at $330

We realize the world is crazy about Tablets, but looking at things from a more realistic angle, there is more place in the world for netbooks than the tablets at the moment. Acer pretty well understands this for a fact and hence keeps its interests divided in to not just thinking about Tablets, but netbooks as well. One netbook in particular-Aspire One D255- has been a matter of serious discussion here on DM and we are glad that Acer has finally detailed its pricing.

Acer Aspire One D255 , mind you, is the first Acer netbook to feature the new Atom N550 dual-core processor that clocks at 1.5GHz and has 512KB L2 cache. Acer did survey the market futuristic(ly) and that is probably the biggest reason we hear a feature packed netbook such as this retailing for a modest $330.

For a few of you, the D255 may bear close semblance to the D260 (for sure it does) but then, on the inside, the D255 is a far more capable machine than any other in this lineage from Acer. And to its credit, the Acer Aspire One D255 dual-core Atom Netbook is the cheapest dual-core netbook around. Just in case you wish to get rid of one ‘core’, it will fall even more cheaper at $270.
