Motorola Stingray to be unleashed into market by Verizon

October 1, 2010, By Shawn Wagnon

Motorola might be a bit out of favor when it comes to the current mobile market, but they sure are trying hard to expand there scope and the much talked about ‘Stingray’ is now all set for its debut early next year.

This is not just good news for those looking for alternatives in the Tablet market but also for Verizon customers as it is now becoming apparent that Motorola Stingray will indeed be launched by the carrier across US. While officially no word is out yet, it is strongly believed that Stingray will be out sometime in the first quarter of 2011.

Offering further variety and going away from the norm the Stingray will apparently sport a 10-inch display rather than the more compact 7-inch design that is being offered by various others such as Samsung Galaxy. Apart from this Stingray will run on Android 3.0 Gingerbread and a NVIDIA Tegra 2 chip.

With 16GB internal memory and Verizon’s 4G LTE network speeds, Stingray will surely attract many Verizon customers if not take away from the existing iPad market. The advantage that Motorola hold will be their ability to attract gamers if indeed the rumored specs actually make it to the store shelves. Till then one can only hope and wait to see what exactly will be on offer.
