Call of Duty: Black Ops hits 1.4 Million Pre-Orders

October 1, 2010, By Christian Davis

We all knew that Call of Duty: Black Ops is going was going to be big. Did you think it would be this big however? The launch of Halo Reach was fantastic. Making over 200 million dollars in the first 24 hours. It’s looking like Black Ops is aiming to beat that.

No, that’s not a typo. The game has 1.4 million pre-orders and it doesn’t seem to be stopping anytime soon. Call of Duty: Black Ops is Treyarchs first departure from World War games and is going more modern. It’s clear that everyone approves of their change. The next installment in the highly lucrative Call of Duty franchise is going to be breaking records. Plain and simple. The return of Nazi Zombies, new game modes such as “Wager Matches,” and one of the most addicting multiplayer experiences is going to suck all of our time up.

Pre-orders on the Xbox 360 are at 888,229 and Playstation 3 pre-orders are at 475,616. That’s very impressive Treyarch.

Call of Duty: Black Ops comes out on November 9th of this year.
