After rendering a real mad surge of Android devices for a while, HTC has been fairly silent, but this surely is indicative of the arriving Storm. The next big Android release from HTC is the Desire HD and the wait might be a very short one as there is a ‘certain’ belief that this smartphone will hit the UK stores on October 8th.

There are a couple of UK Carriers lined up to sell the Android 2.2 Froyo blessed Desire HD, which implies that the UK market will see T-Mobile and Vodafone battling it out to sell a sea of HTC Desire HD’s. While T-Mobile will offer it with a £40 plan, Vodafone is going to demand £30 for the same offering.

The Carrier locked devices will hit UK stores first on October 8, while the unlocked variants will be available via play.com October 11 onwards for a £469.99 pricing. Just to revive your memories, the HTC Desire HD is a 1GHz Snapdragon powered beast which features a multi-touch responsive 4.3-inch display.
