Call of Duty: Black Ops Will Have A New Cooperative Mode

September 29, 2010, By Christian Davis

Today, Treyarch themselves has officially announced that Call of Duty: Black Ops is going to have zombies in it.  It’s easily one of the worst kept secrets of the year, but that’s fine because everyone is still going to have a lot of fun playing it. What Activision did mention in their press release is that four updated maps from Call of Duty: World at War will make an appearance in the game. Specific levels weren’t detailed, but I’m sure the Call of Duty community will be able to have ample input.

These updated maps will be available in the Call of Duty: Black Ops Prestige and Hardened Editions. These editions also come with a premium edition steel book case, Black Ops limited edition medal, and exclusive avatar outfit.

A New Mode is also along the way. One allows up to six players rank up in Combat Training mode. This mode will have players face off against enemy AI and be able to rank up together as a team.

In the press release studio head, Mark Lamia states:

“Zombies have been such a hit with our community that we were committed to bringing brand new zombie experiences to Call of Duty: Black Ops,” says Treyarch Studio Head, Mark Lamia. “We’ve taken extra special care to retain the essential ingredients of our Zombie game, and have also crafted a nice surprise for the fans.”

Call of Duty:Black Ops is set to release on November 9th.
