Microsoft is believed to have zeroed in on a launch plan for the Windows Phone 7. If what we hear is a confirmed fact, the US marketplace will see the launch of the Windows Phone 7 on November 8. When it arrives, the phones that could initially get lucky are the HTC Mondrian or HD7, the LG Optimus 7 and the Samsung Cetus.
The very reliable internal source has been credited with the news by Windows Phone Secrets. If you would remember, we had earlier heard that on October 11, the OS would become officially available at a special Microsoft event to be held in New York.
However, the latest tells us we need to wait for November to come. We are yet to find out when the European launch is to happen, though we had earlier heard of an unconfirmed October date.
Meanwhile, the November 8 release date for the US market has not been yet disputed or confirmed by Microsoft officials. Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.5 sales had been tough to come about, and now with the new release coming up, no one knows what is in store.
We just hope the $500-million marketing campaign Microsoft has already lined up would help the company reap some good benefits.
