Toshiba has introduced new 4G WiMax-ready laptops which are designed to give you broader wireless coverage not just at wireless hotspots, but all over town. It will be providing you with unplugged connectivity along with fast download and upload speeds even while traveling.

In addition to the previously-announced Satellite U405, we have now got a quartet of older models with a new 4G flair. WiMax wireless chips will be available in the Satellite A665 Series, the M645 Series, the Protege R705-P35, and the Satellite E205-S1908. These are all portable mainstream laptops, with display sizes ranging from 13 inches to 16 inches.

WiMax coverage is currently available in 54 cities. So this is a great help from the company for consumers who are on-the-go.

The WiMax chips are based on Intel’s Kilmer Peak, which is a PCI-e adapter that was expected to be launched in 2011. But since wireless providers, betting on WiMax technology, have made good on their promise to deliver wireless 4G broadband, Toshiba is wasting no time to jump onboard.

Toshiba’s 4G WiMax-ready laptops are having prices starting between $760 and $1080. They will be available on September 26 at select retailers.
