Motorola has confirmed that the Flipout will be launched in the US market just before the holiday season. The phone was earlier slated to arrive this weekend.

Motorola did not give out any comments on what carriers are set to offer the Flipout, but it is rumored that the device is on its way to AT&T. The Android 2.1 Flipout, which is already available in Canada, comes equipped with a squarish 2.8-inch screen.

The form of the device resembles Motorola’s rectangular Charm, but with a QWERTY keyboard which is revealed when the display rotates out of the way. It also comes with a 3.1 megapixel camera along with GPS and WiFi and the processing power comes from a 700MHz CPU. There is also a MicroSD card slot which supports up to 32GB.

There was no confirmation of an exact launch date, but it is expected that it will be launched anytime between now and Thanksgiving. The pricing of the Flipout is yet to be confirmed, but the device appears to be coming in three different colors.
