Adobe Photoshop and Premiere Elements 9 Released

September 21, 2010, By Sanjeev Ramachandran

Adobe has unveiled the Photoshop and Premiere Elements 9 (for both Windows and Mac), the new versions of Photoshop Elements digital photo software and Premiere Elements video editing software. These latest versions were introduced by Adobe at a press conference at London, nearly a month ago.

Both versions have received a facelift to the user interface, but the similar look and feel that Photoshop users are used to will still be present.

It seems that Mac users will be the ones to benefit the most from the latest update as many of the features that were exclusive to Windows have now been ported across to OSX (the last version which was the Photoshop Elements 8 was Windows only). One of those features include the Photoshop Elements Organizer.

With the new update, video import options available have received a facelift. Now you will be able to import video camcorders and SLRs recording video to solid state memory. Some extra output options have also been included allowing you to share your images and videos on Facebook, Flickr and Youtube straight from Elements.

Other features include new step-by-step editing wizards, improved HD video support and many more.

Adobe Photoshop Elements 9 and Adobe Premiere Elements 9 software for Windows and Mac is available now at the Adobe website. The bundle is available for a suggested retail price of US$149.99.
