Official: HTC Desire HD Specs, Pricing & Release Dates Confirmed

Regular DeviceMAG readers already know that yesterday HTC have taken the wraps off their newest babies, the Desire HD and the Desire Z. Today we’re dissecting the HTC Desire HD to find out more about its specs, the price it will sell for and an official release date for all European Android fans.

Seen as nn EVO 4G that reaches the old continent, the HTC Desire HD is one of the most anticipated smartphone this fall.

Powered by the new 1GHz Qualcomm 8255 Snapdragon processor, Desire HD gets the eye with its amazing huge cinematic 4.3-inch LCD display and the 8 megapixel camera with dual-LED flash and 720p HD video recording capabilites. It’s made from a solid block of aluminum (built on the unibody heritage of the HTC Legend), delivers outstanding audio thanks to Dolby Mobile and SRS virtual surround sound, and has HSPA+ data with 802.11n WiFi.

HTC Desire Prices & Release Date

The new HTC Desire HD awill be broadly available through mobile operators and retailers across major European and Asian markets from October 2010. So far we know that in the UK, it will be available from October 11 for a retail price of £499.99 (according to Play) — with the big carriers having a go at it soon after? No word what subsidized plans will look like, but our guess is that something similar with what the HTC Desire sells today.
