Halo Reach Co-Op is Not Playable on New 4GB Xbox 360s

September 15, 2010, By Christian Davis

This could be the saddest day of a lot of gamers’ lives. The new Xbox 360 Slim that was just released is having problems when trying to play Halo Reach’s co-op online; specifically with the 4GB model. Players are essentially locked out of the cooperative experience due to lack of hard drive space.  Who’s idea was it to release a 4GB model in the first place? That’s hardly enough space for anything.

Players were greeted with the message “One or more players do not have the hard drive required for this game type.” Microsoft apparently is aware of the issue and are looking into it.  This does raise the question about the 4GB Kinect bundle. Will it be enough space to play being the big and most important question.

Microsoft has updated their Halo Reach FAQ stating that if one or more players do not have a certified Xbox 360 hard drive attached to their Xbox 360 console, some multiplayer aspects of Halo Reach will not work.
