Kno has announced that the company has plans to start shipping the Kno dual-screen tablet by the end of this year. It was also announced that the company has acquired more funds and that they plan to start beta testing this fall. The tablet, being touted as the most powerful tablet ever made, might soon be in your hands.

The tablet, which was unveiled at D8 a few months ago, comes equipped with two 14.1-inch touchscreens. It’s stunningly book-like and can display a complete textbook without scrolling. The tablet, which runs on a Tegra 2 chip with 16GB of storage, is aimed at students.

Students will be able to purchase e-textbooks through an app store, and view them just as they look in printed format. Users will also be able to take notes and draw on pages like many of the e-readers in the market nowadays.

The company also has plans to use webkit, which will allow users to access books on a variety of devices. But there was no revelation about the price tag that will be coming with the books.

There are no details on exact pricing or a release date available now. But the company has hinted that the Kno Tablet would retail for under $1,000.
