Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood Beta Has October 4th Release Date

September 9, 2010, By Christian Davis

You Assassin’s Creed fans have been waiting for this for some time. The popular single player game franchise from Ubisoft is now branching into the realms of multiplayer. There is one catch though.

The beta is only going to be available for those who pre-ordered the Playstation 3 version of  the game. Unfortunate for the 360 players out there. The beta will include nine playable characters to choose from, including the executioner, doctor, priest, and courtesan. Players can experiment with two maps (Rome and Castel Gandolfo), and two game types.

The two game types are “Wanted” and “Alliance” and both sound like they’re going to be really fun. “Wanted” is a scored mode in which players try to be the first to reach a set number of assassinations. “Alliance” is a cooperative mode that matches players to fulfill killing contracts. Letting players experience competitive gameplay and cooperative gameplay is a great way to get a feel for how the games multiplayer will play out.

You never know until you get your hands on it.
