Folks from Mercedes are gearing up for the 2010 Paris Auto Show and what better way to get us excited if not with these fancy new pictures of their new Mercedes S63 AMG  — which is expected to find way on the red carpet in a matter of months (the show kicks in on October 2nd) in the French capital.

2011 Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG luxury sedan

From what we’re hearing, the luxury super sedan just got a complete mechanical renewal that includes a new 5.5-litre V8 (M157) engine in combination with the unique AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT 7-speed sports transmission, to replace the previous V8 6.2-litre with 525 hp.

Although it’s a smaller unit, the M157 is a third gen direct injection engine with multi-spark ignition that pushes the power to a whopping 570bhp and 900Nm of torque — helping it reach an electronically limited 300km/h top speed and a sprint from naught to 100km/h in just 4.4 seconds.

On top of that, they also brag that the new S63 AMG is much more fuel efficient as it only consume 10.5 litres of petrol per 100 km, and emits 244g/km of CO2 emissions.

Th new 2011 Mercedes S63 AMG marks the start of a new chapter in the “AMG Performance 2015” drive strategy. According to Ola Källenius, head of Mercedes-AMG GmbH: “We are heading into a new era with the 2011 Mercedes S63 AMG : for the first time we have combined spray-guided direct petrol injection with biturbocharging and the start/stop system. Together with the AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT 7-speed sports transmission, we have reduced both fuel consumption and emissions significantly – while at the same time increasing output and torque.”

On the inside, it’s modern-yet-classical with just enough flair to let other roadgoers know that this is one exec you don’t want to mess with. It’s luxurious but aggressive at the same time. We love it.
