The latest iteration of Apple’s mobile operating system, iOS 4.1 is now available for download. iOS 4.1 has gone live on iTunes and is compatible with the iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPod Touch 2nd gen, 3rd gen and 4th gen.

The new version of the OS was announced a few days ago, bringing with it a few new features and bug fixes. One of the much expected additions is the “Game Center” which is available on all the devices listed above except the iPhone 3G. The Game Center will enhance the gaming experience on iOS and bring in many new multiplayer features. Other new features includes the ability to capture HDR snapshots, HD Video uploads, and TV Show Rentals.

One of the many bugs fixed in this release is the tiresome and much documented problems with the proximity sensor and Bluetooth radio.
So those of you who have a compatible device, can head over to iTunes and get the iOS 4.1 update right now.
