Nokia E7 Launch Date is Next Week; Features Large Touchscreen & Full QWERTY Keyboard

September 7, 2010, By Sanjeev Ramachandran

Nokia will be unveiling the E7 smartphone at the Nokia World event next week in  London. Reports suggest that the phone will be coming equipped with a large touchscreen and a full QWERTY keyboard.

The device has been confirmed to be running on Symbian^3 (there were earlier rumours that the phone will run on Meego) and will apparently feature a 640×360 display.

An XML file on Nokia’s own site is further proof on the confirmed specifications. The file seemingly confirms that the E7 does indeed run Symbian^3, and has the resolution which is now being reported.

In addition to these news, Nokia will also introduce its new N8 model which will boast a 12 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics, Xenon flash and a large sensor.

It will also be running Symbian^3. Previous leaks had suggested that the E7 is actually a slider version of the N8. No other information is available at the moment.

We may have to wait until the show next week. But if anything leaks before the event, we will let you know.
