HTC QWERTY Slider Verizon Phone Codenamed PD42100 Shows Up On FCC

The FCC filing list has thrown up something very interesting. What we get to see is a Slider smartphone built at HTC for Verizon.  The rumored HTC QWERTY slider Verizon smart handset, shown in FCC filings has been codenamed PD42100.

The device, as we see it, comes across as a Verizon-bound handset and seems like close to the specs we have been hearing when it comes to hybrid CDMA/EVDO and GSM.

Look further, and you get to know that the rumored HTC-Verizon device is a four-inch touchscreen phone and would come sporting 802.11n Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.

A removable battery pack might also be part of the device. We infer from what we see that the phone would come with a 1.2GHz processor that would have all the potential to make the HTC PD42100S QWERTY Slider the fastest Android phone. Any takes on that?

Most likely to start shipping during the early period of 2011, the phone could also ship with Android 3.0 from the start itself. We wouldn’t be surprised if it launches sporting 4G capabilities too.  Will wait for more on that.
