Chilean Miners Receive PSPs

August 31, 2010, By Radimir Bobev

The group of Chilean miners who became trapped in a deep section of a mine on August 15th have been receiving more and more help from the surface lately – after establishing the transportation pipe to the mine, the rescue workers have been sending all kinds of vital goods to the miners – and now they’re providing them with some entertainment too, by sending them some PSPs.

We can’t help but wonder if this was the best choice of entertainment though – the PSP isn’t exactly known for having a long battery life, so we can foresee this form of entertainment fading away quite quickly (unless they’ve managed to establish a power line of some sort as well). The console does have some titles which can keep you occupied for a long time though, so it doesn’t really matter if it was that or an NDS in our view.

Other pieces of tech the poor souls have been receiving include MP3 players, so we’d guess that power is probably not such a major issue at the moment after all. Of course, we sincerely hope they won’t need to rely on the consoles for too long and will get to see sunlight soon enough.
