Starcraft 2 Patch 1.1 Coming in September, To Focus Heavily on Balance Changes

August 30, 2010, By Atul Roach

Stracraft 2 is now a month old game and those who’ve devoted ample time playing the game might have realized that there are a number of balancing issues when you compare the three species. The good news is that Blizzard Entertainment has confirmed a patch being readied catering primarily to these balance changes and some bug fixes along with editor improvements and support for NVIDIA’s 3D Vision.

Blizzard is working hard to see a more balanced division and the first Patch (1.1) will be released by the middle of September this year. The multiplayer balance will be established by introducing two major changes for the Protoss unit, as it is evident that the Zealot rushes are too powerful, apparently.

The Terrains unit is also suppose to undergo certain changes in this sensible attempt from Blizzard to balance things out. Other than the ‘balancing act’, Blizzard is also going to add destructible rocks to the desert oasis map which will make expansion easier to defend.

In addition, the map changes will see the watchtower area (located at the center of the map) being narrowed.
