Samsung Epic 4G Sales Begin Tomorrow; Sprint Stores Gearing Up for Samsung Epic 4G Launch

August 30, 2010, By Alex Ion

Sprint stores are going to open tomorrow as early as 8 AM. The reason is that the new Samsung Epic 4G begins selling in the US as promised — on August 31.

Sprint Samsung Epic 4G

Another member of the big Galaxy S family, the new Samsung Epic 4G will be priced at $249.99 if you agree to have your name signed on a two-year contract. That’s the price in Sprint stores, but you should know that on Amazon the Epic 4G is getting a $50 discount, making it a real hottie that will go for nothing more than $199.99.

Of course, if the Samsung Epic 4G won’t suit your needs, there’s always the HTC Evo 4G in Sprint stores — the other high-end Android smartphone in their lineup, that will cost you $199.99.

So what’s the real difference between the Samsung Epic 4G and the HTC Evo 4G? The Super AMOLED display, the QWERTY keyboard, the pre-installed Swype touchscreen input system, the Asphalt 5 demo, an on-device video store and the DLNA capabilities are the main things that set the Epic 4G apart from its competition in Sprint’s view.

On top of that, we’re hearing that Samsung is just around the corner with an official Froyo update for its Glalaxy S models.

What do you folks think? Will the Epic 4G be another hit mobile in Sprint’s garage?
