T-Mobile G2 Release Date Confirmed for September 29

A lot of rumors about the T-Mobile G2 have been flying around lately. Now, we have got a confirmation on the release date. TMONews has posted blurry spycam photos that confirm rumors that the handset will be launched on September 29.

The device in the leaked documents was listed as the HTC Vanguard, which is expected to be the T-Mobile G2. The source also reveals that the G2 can be pre-ordered starting from September 1, although there is no confirmation on that matter.

Earlier there were reports that the phone will run Google’s Android 2.1 Operating System on a 1 GHz processor. It will also be coming with a 3.7-inch touchscreen. It was also reported that it may come equipped with the new Qualcomm MSM7x30 chipset.

Due to this new chipset, the handset will be able to record 720p HD videos at 30 fps as well as multimedia playback. But still this information is not officially confirmed. We will let you know as soon as we get new details on the G2.
