Sony has unveiled the Netbox which streams Internet services such as YouTube, Netflix and DailyMotion. These services were earlier available only through a Bravia TV.

The Netbox comes equipped with built-in 802.11n WiFi for hopping online. It also has an Ethernet port around back as well as an USB jack on the front for hooking up an external hard drive or thumbdrive.

Better still, it supports a “wide range” of video formats including DivX and MKV.

The Netbox is controllable via Sony’s BD Remote iPhone/Android app. Netbox users will get free app for the iPhone and other Android phones.

Even though there hasn’t been any official confirmation regarding the release date, reports suggest that the Netbox will be available by the end of September.

Sony will be offering the Netbox with a price tag of $130.
