Back in June, we had reported about Sony Ericsson’s announcement of its latest touchscreen phone called the Xperia X8. The device was announced to be due for release in the third quarter of this year. Now the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has given details of pictures and other manual details of the upcoming smartphone that runs Android 1.6 Operating System.

The photos give us different poses of the phone. But the specs are the same as we had earlier reported it. Just to refresh your memory, it comes equipped with a 3-inch capacitive display having a resolution of 320×480 pixels and has a 3.2 megapixel camera that allows VGA video recording at 30 fps.

It will also be coming with WiFi, Bluetooth, A-GPS and a 600MHz CPU from Qualcomm. The phone will also have 128 MB worth of RAM, a microSDHC card slot that supports memory cards of up to 16 GB and a 1,200mAh battery. Earlier reports suggested that the phone will be priced at €259 (around $318). Keep checking this space for further updates.
