Motorola Droid II for Verizon is surely one of the newest Android sensations from which the users expect a lot and this is the reason why the firmware updates are arriving quickly to patch the small issues the device is affected with and also render some new features. The latest OTA update to arrive for the Android 2.2 Froyo OS on the Droid II is firmware version 2.2.20.en.US and just in case you haven’t received it as yet, you can look for it in the settings menu of your phone.

The file is surely small at 3.7MB, but the changes and enhancements it brings on board are very credible indeed. Courtesy of this OTA update, text and picture messaging scrolling has now been enabled on the Droid II. The update also streamlines the set up of ‘Visual Voice Mail’ feature which is again very beneficial for Android Froyo lovers.

What is more is that the update improves contact sync with Corporate Exchange categories and groups. Another noticeable improvement is the accurate viewing of contact pictures when reviewing the recent call log.
