LG Display’s 31-Inch OLED TV to be Showcased at IFA 2010

LG Electronics has plans to show off  a  new 31 inch OLED-Television at the IFA which starts on 3rd September in Berlin. There are speculations that the company will also be showing off a 72-inch 3D-LED-TV and the world’s thinnest LCD-TV that will be just 7mm thick, at the show.
With just weeks to go before the tech world descends on IFA, everyone is eager to know more details of the Television. But we may have to wait a little longer to learn more about it since no details about it is out yet. At 31 inches, it is one of the largest LG Electronics sets, and double the size of the EL9500 OLED-TV it currently sells for £1700. Only Samsung had showed off a similar 31-inch TV, which was seen at the CES a couple of years ago. But it never reached consumers.
Sony’s 11-inch model, the XEL-1, which had a price tag of $2,500, was discontinued because the sales weren’t good enough. Let’s wait and see how much the new one costs. We may have to sell our car to buy one of those.
