Samsung Galaxy S Sales Shoot Past 800,000-Mark in South Korea; May Soon Reach Europe

August 18, 2010, By Sanjeev Ramachandran

Samsung has confirmed that they have surpassed the 800,000 mark in the sales of Galaxy S (SHW-M110S). With this milestone achieved in less than 2 months, Galaxy S has become the fastest selling device in South Korea.

There are rumors that a White Galaxy S is going to be launched in Europe. As if to add strength to the rumor, Samsung has officially announced a Snow White version of the M110S. Korean customers can now choose to buy a Snow White model of Galaxy S from SKT. Snow White will give a luxurious feel with its gloss white back, chrome bezel, and black front. Its specifications will probably be identical to the original version.

Meanwhile, a European version of Galaxy S was recently spotted at Spain’s Phone House. Phone House will be selling the device in white color for 499 euros. But there is no news on what kind of a price tag would  Samsung be attaching with the Snow White.

There has been no official word of the US getting a White Galaxy S. Let’s assume Samsung is already lining up plans  for an American roll out  now.
