Motorola ‘Jordan’ rugged Android smartphone to Hop On to T-Mobile

Motorola’s new Android phone, codenamed ‘Jordan’, is all set for release on T-Mobile. It is not known whether the handset shares similarities with the rugged Motorola i1, but it has a bit more to offer on the rugged side. Unlike other rugged handsets, the Jordan will apparently be waterproof up to a depth of 10 meters or 33 feet.

The phone is also supposed to be IP67 certified. The first digit ‘6’ in the IP67 certifies that the phone will be dust proof and that it will be completely protected against contact. But the second digit 7 says that the phone will be unharmed if it is immersed to a depth of only 1 meter. Then how did the company reach the 10 meter claim. You better not test it out by going for a swim with it.

The smartphone, which is expected to be launched in November, will be a mighty competitor to the i7. The details of the price and other features are not yet out. Just stay tuned and we’ll let you know more about it in the coming days.
