Nook App for iPhone, iPad and PC Updated With New Features

A while back, Barnes & Noble mentioned that an update for their Nook app is on the way, though they didn’t give any specifics – this was around the time when they introduced the Nook’s version for the Android OS. Now, they’ve finally released the update and it brings us all sorts of new goodies to mess around with while enjoying our e-books.

The app has been updated slightly differently in its versions for different devices, as the iPhone and iPod Touch versions got a complete revamp, with their interface being totally renewed to make it as intuitive as possible, while the iPad version of the app now offers a built-in rating feature, which makes it the first of its kind in B&N’s line of e-book reader apps.

To add to the coolness, the app also adds support for the Retina Display of the iPhone 4 (yay for high-resolution reading!), while it also adds various improvements to the app’s interface, mainly in the way of customization options (you can now change themes, switch to different styles based on the time of day, as well as modify how text is rendered on the screen).
