Nokia has unveiled its X3-02 handset which connects the 16-button keypad design with a resistive touchscreen. It seems that Nokia will be doing more than just ‘connecting people’. The super slim X3-02 Touch and Type will allow users to tap quickly on the bright color 2.4-inch QVGA touchscreen, as well as enjoy the familiarity of a standard keypad. Touch and Type is ideal for SMS and social networking where fast and frequent input is needed, while touch is ideal for functions such as setting themes, smooth Internet browsing and controlling applications like music and games.
The phone, which is the first S40 OS phone to come with a touchscreen, has a sleek and modern design coming in at 9.6mm. Although small, the phone comes equipped with features such as 3G, 802.11n WiFi, and Bluetooth 2.1 connectivity. It has a brushed aluminum back cover which will come in five vibrant colors designed to suit any wardrobe or mood. You will be able to take clearer pictures and record your special moments with the 5 megapixel camera which comes with 4X digital zoom.
The phone which is expected to be on sale in the third quarter will have a price tag of €125 excluding sales taxes and subsidies. Watch the video below to get a feel of it.
