U-Verse Mobile 2.0 Available for iPhone, Remote DVR Access Coupled With Downloadable TV Shows

AT&T have just officially launched the new version 2.0 of their iPhone app for U-Verse TV customers. The program is now called the U-Verse Mobile, and still holds most of the functionality of the old version – such as managing and scheduling DVR recordings on the fly – but it also comes with a revamped interface and several new options, such as a favorite channels list.

One of the most prominent new features of the program is the ability to download certain shows straight to your phone, though it’s currently only available for a limited selection of them. It includes shows like Lost and Grey’s Anatomy though, as well as most of the other popular ones, so you should be able to find your favorite one easily. This particular service is available for Wi-Fi users only.

It should be mentioned that AT&T are making some false claims about the situation, too – according to them, they’re the first to allow downloads of TV shows so far, but Dish have already allowed this with their Sling – though it’s somewhat broken at the moment.
