Motorola Verizon Android Tablet Foreseen as Taking on Apple iPad

Motorola’s Android tablet which will hop on to the Verizon Wireless network is in the works and could be seen as an iPad killer. The tablet, expected to arrive sporting 10-inch screen real estate will boast of front and back cameras for video conferencing and capturing video and still pictures. Sounds good, right?

Though the upcoming tablet has been confirmed as powered by Google Android, we are yet to know what version of the operating system it would be running.  More likely is that it would run a new version of Android, akin to what the GoogleTV puts into play. Nobody in the meanwhile, is willing to think that it would be Froyo as videos on a 10-inch screen could be less exciting with a Froyo. The device would have the capabilities to display 720P video out.

Further, we get to learn that the Motorola Verizon tablet, would sail along with Verizon’s FiOS digital pay-television service. Significantly, the tablet will support Adobe Flash.

The tablet is expected to be rolled out as a thinner and lighter device compared with the Apple iPad. We guess we have an awesome piece in the offing. Tell us what you think.
