Accessing social networking and micro blogging sites from your handhelds has quite become the trend and this is a definitive factor which people consider while buying a smartphone or any other type of handheld devices. Direct access is what most of us seek. This is exactly why the news of an updated Facebook application for Android becomes such an important piece of information in the apparent context.

You read it right people, Facebook for Android (I mean the Official application) has been upgraded to version 1.3.0 and by the look of things, it definitely looks better than all the previous versions. Talk about changes and there are one many attractive options to be discussed.

We especially like the way the photo/video reel has been tagged at the bottom of the app as all the updated images and videos from your friends can be scrolled through in an easy manner. Another effective and noticeable change is the notification bar itself.

You can see it at the bottom of the application again and you can drag it up to see what’s important about your account on the day. Status update or search for friends, video playback within the app using H.264 encoding and support for Facebook events are all accessible on a single tap with version.
