Apple iPhone4 Jailbreak Now Available For Download Courtesy of iPhone Dev Team

iPhone Dev Team has just released their jailbreak tool for the Apple iPhone 4 smartphone, called JailbreakMe. The jailbreak tool will allow iPhone 4 users to run Apple-unapproved third party applications on their phones, a process that was recently ruled as legal by the US Library of Congress.

JailbreakMe has been said to work on older iPhone models such as the 3GS and 3G, as well as the iPad. However, the initially-released version of the software was far from perfect and often showed server fail notifications.  MMS and FaceTime programs on the iPhone 4 devices were also reported to be unresponsive after installing the initial JailbreakMe version and the software did not work on iPads running version 3.2.1 of the iOS either.

However, the iPhone Dev Team immediately released a second version of the jailbreak tool that contained numerous fixes for the various bugs present in the first version. Users can find a complete how-to guide for jailbreaking the iPhone 4 using JailbreakMe over here.
