Nokia’s new flagship model running the Symbian^3 OS, the N8, has become available for pre-order in Italy, according to the company’s Italian website. The site also mentions that the device is slated for launch by the end of September, while the pricing of the N8 has been listed as €469 (around $610).

Though previous rumors had already placed the release date for the Nokia N8 in the third quarter, at that time, the pricing of the smartphone was said to be €370 (around $494). However, it has been clarified that the previously mentioned price estimate did not include the taxes levied as well as the subsidy offered by the carrier.

The N8 will be part of Nokia’s attempt to regain lost ground in the smartphone market. The phone will include high-end features such as 12-megapixel camera, complete with a Carl Zeiss lens and a Xenon flash. It will have a 3.5 inch screen with capacitive touchscreen display and an internal storage capacity of 16 GB. The device will also be able to record video in high definition and allow users to view HD content on a separate display unit through its HDMI output.

The Nokia N8 has not been reported to become available for pre-order in any other country yet.
