Fujifilm FinePix S2800HD 18X Zoom Camera Announced; Packs Neat Specs & Features

July 22, 2010, By Alex Ion

Japanese from Fujifilm have officially announced their new Fujifilm FinePix S2800HD. Touted as the world’s smallest 18X optical zoom camera (we know that some would say the quality of a camera is given by its size and grip), the FinePix S2800HD boasts an impressive 28mm-504mm high precision lens that vouches to grab the best snapshots even if your subject is far-far away.

Just imagine shooting landscapes or wildlife …

The Fujifilm FinePix S2800HD sports a 14MP CCD sensor with high ISO sensitivity and features Fujifilm’s Dual Image Stabilization technology for reduced blur on your shots if you know you have shaky hands or when subjects move right before clicking.

On top of that the FinePix S2800HD allows you to shoot and playback Full HD images (1080p) and HD videos (720p) — for that there’s  mini HDMI port that you can connect to your HD ready display.

Fujifilm FinePix S2800HD should be available with 23MB of internal storage (like that would matter much these days), measures 110 × 74 × 82 mm and weighs only 341g without the 4 AA batteries it needs to function. No word on pricing or an actual release date, but we’ll update as soon as we have something.
