HTC HD2 vs Sony Ericsson Xperia X10; Features & Specs Fight

July 21, 2010, By Alex Ion

Both mobiles are big, quite powerful and sleek enough to grab the eye of anyone standing near you, but which would be a better fit for you, the HTC HD2 or the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10? Here’s what you should know if you’re not really into mobiles or up to date.

HTC HD2

Both the HTC HD2 features and the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 features are similar, but there’s one big difference: the HD2 runs on Windows Mobile 6.5 (no chance to be upgrade to Windows Phone 7, though), while the Xperia X10 is using Google’s Android OS.

Another difference is that the HD2 has a larger screen (4.3-inch) while the X10 is a tad smaller with a 4-inch display. But then again, the X10 brags with an amazing camera and flash, that will take stunning images whenever you’re ready to press the button. So here’s a nice breakdown:

GET the Xperia X10 if you’re looking for a more stylish phone, more apps in the Android market, and a better camera.

DON’T GET the Xperia X10 if you’re into organizing apps and programs, if you don’t integrate an Internet connection with your phone, or if you’re not much into music or pictures.

On the other hand GET the HTC HD2 if the larger display appeals to you (great for videos for example) and if you’re into documents (sideshows, word, email).

Or DON’T GET the HTC HD2 if you don’t want a 5 inch phone in your pocket or if you don’t like the buttons on the bottom of the HTC HD2.
