Motorola Droid X Handsets Facing Display Issues? [Video]

Motorola’s latest smartphone on the Verizon network, the Droid X, could already be facing issues with its display screen, according to several posts and videos on various online forums, including the support forums on Motorola’s and Droid’s official websites. Certain Droid X units have been reported to show vertical banding and rapid flickering as well as dead pixels on their screens.

These issues with the 4.3-inch display screen of the Droid X phone have been rumored to be either due to a graphical error or caused by electrical problems with the device. However, it is not known yet whether the issue has affected a majority or only a minority of handsets.

While most Droid X users with defective phones have already had their devices replaced for new ones from the retail store, certain users have been informed that the display issue is present only on phones belonging to a particular batch that was sold on the launch date.

Meanwhile, Verizon is yet to confirm the existence of the issue on Droid X devices.
