Various new pictures of the upcoming Droid 2 smartphone from Motorola and Verizon have appeared on the Internet. Verizon has also been rumored to release the BlackBerry Curve 3 and Storm 3 handsets and a 10.1-inch tablet device this year as well.

The latest Droid 2 picture leaks are of a confidential handset from the company, which clearly show the slider QWERTY keyboard. The Droid 2 has also been rumored to be launched by Verizon in the month of August this year, though the pricing of the device has not been revealed yet.

It is also rumored that Verizon will release two BlackBerry handsets named Curve 3 and Storm 3 in the holiday season this year. While the Curve 3 could be the BlackBerry 9300 handset, the Storm 3 could be a different version of the BlackBerry 9800 slider phone. The Storm 3 has also been previously rumored to feature a 1 GHz processor as well as LTE support.

This year’s Verizon roadmap is also rumoured to include a tablet device with a screen size of 10.1-inches. Though there are no specific details available regarding the make and model of the tablet, it is suspected to be an Android-based slate device. It has also been said that the tablet in question could be the widely rumored BlackBerry tablet, although the latest rumor about the tablet had placed its screen size at 7 inches.
