July 16, 2010, By Sanjeev Ramachandran

The PC version of Battlefield Bad Company 2 Onslaught mode, which was confirmed for release a few days earlier by PC Gamer, has now been said to be in its research stages only and may be not become available soon, according to the DICE community manager who goes by the handle “zh1nt0”on Twitter.

The community manager has tweeted to say that PC Gamer’s article was inaccurate and has also mentioned that there is no release date yet for a PC version of Onslaught mode.

PC Gamer has now removed its previous article from its website and posted a new one, explaining that the confusion was caused due to a miscommunication from the PR department of EA UK. Its previous article had mentioned that the confirmation of a PC release of Onslaught mode had come from senior producer Patrick Bach.

The Onslaught mode for the game, which is currently available on Sony’s Playstation 3 and Microsoft’s Xbox 360 gaming consoles for $9.99 and 800 Microsoft points respectively, includes four maps called Valparaiso, Isla Inocentes, Nelson Bay and Atacama Desert,  through which players have to secure locations and complete missions by co-operating with three other players.
