T-Mobile’s variant of the Samsung Galaxy S smartphone, called Vibrant, has been announced by the mobile carrier to become available in stores across the US as well as on its online store from July 15 onwards.

The announcement was made by T-Mobile through its official page on the microblogging site Twitter, though it was earlier announced that the handset would launch on July 21, three days before AT&T’s release of its Galaxy S variant, the Samsung Captivate, on July 18.

The Vibrant will be available for sale in T-Mobile stores for a price of $200 along with a two-year contract. However, the company has not explicitly revealed the delivery date of Vibrant handsets that were pre-ordered through Radio Shack for $50.

The Vibrant features a 4-inch Super AMOLED touchscreen display and a 1 GHz ARM Cortex A8 Hummingbird processor from Samsung. A 5 megapixel camera will also be present on the back of the smartphone that will be capable of recording HD videos of up to 720p resolution. The Vibrant is also an Android-based phone running on version 2.1 of the operating software.

Another variant of the Samsung Galaxy S smartphone from Sprint, called the Epic 4G, is yet to be released.
