HTC Desire HD Specs Surface, HTC Rumored to Announce Desire HD With 4.3″ Screen & 8MP Camera

Last week, a leaked roadmap allegedly coming from HTC revealed one of their upcoming devices to be named the HTC Ace, though it didn’t specify much else about the upcoming handheld. Now we’ve just found out some news about it – apparently, the Ace is actually the upcoming Desire HD, which will be a HD upgrade over the standard Desire, introducing several new improvements to its hardware.

One of the most noticeable changes is the new 4.3″ WVGA screen, though we don’t exactly know whether it would be an AMOLED or SLCD one. There’s also a 8-megapixel camera that can record 720p video, which should provide you with a lot more flexibility for your entertainment purposes. Other than that we also have the possibility of Android 2.2, as well as 4 GB of built-in storage memory.

The processor apparently won’t be upgraded, and it’s still the same 1 GHz Snapdragon which you can find in the current HTC Desire. One of the more interesting aspects of the revelation was the “unibody aluminum design”, which, while we still don’t know exactly how it’ll look, sounds quite interesting. Sadly, the news didn’t come with any pictures or other material to drool over, so we guess this’ll have to do for now. The device should come out in October, so there’s still some time for them to give us more though. We’ll make sure to keep you freshly informed on anything that comes out until then, of course.
